Teaching Assistant - Level 2 (4 Days) 

Post - Teaching Assistant - Level 2

Hours - 26 hours per week, term time only. (08:00 –15:00) 4 days per week

We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic teaching assistant with a flexible attitude to support the inclusion of students with a range of behavioural and learning needs.  Experience of working in literacy, numeracy and social intervention programmes would be advantageous.

Additional Information:

The Learning Support department consists of six teaching assistants, working alongside a SENCO who provide support across all subjects for a range of pupils with Special Educational Needs.  The team of teaching assistants are strong practitioners who go above and beyond. Additionally, the Learning Support department offers a range of interventions to address specific literacy, numeracy, language and social, emotional and mental health needs.    We have recently set up our Wellbeing Hub and we work closely alongside a newly appointed Wellbeing Lead.  We are a school that is proud to follow the Thrive Approach.

You will be expected to work alongside a variety of pupils across the curriculum.  Support in core subjects take priority and as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you may be expected to take a key role in leading interventions or working with small groups of pupils.  You will be attached to a Year 6 Tutor group to work alongside the form tutor to support pupils in their transition year from their first school.  We have a well-established performance management programme within the department and there are opportunities to progress within the Learning Support Department.
