Welcome to Bredon Hill Academy, a nurturing and inclusive school nestled in the tranquil surroundings of Ashton-under-Hill and the scenic countryside of south Worcestershire. We are blessed to learn and to work in such a fantastic environment.

Our school motto, ‘Learning Together for Success,’ stresses the importance of collaboration and our unique, family-orientated BHA community. Although many of our routines and practices are stemmed from deep-rooted traditions, we are forward-thinking and embrace the challenge of preparing our young people for the ever-changing modern world: this is always more successful when a whole community is working as one.

We strive to ensure that all our pupils are safe and happy, providing each and every one of them with a rich, ambitious curriculum filled with a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities. Our positive working ethos is embedded within all we do, supporting our pupils to be inquisitive, creative and confident learners.  We value each of our pupils and endeavour to know them all as individuals, enabling them to thrive under our care.

We celebrate the many talents and skills that each and every pupil brings to our school, irrespective of background or starting point. Through living out our school values of Belief, Honesty and Aspiration, we do our best to empower our pupils to be ready for the next steps of their personal and educational learning journeys.  

Academic and behaviour standards are high and both our staff and pupils are enthusiastic and hard-working.  The ‘middle years’ of education can be challenging and we recognise the importance of working effectively and meaningfully with families and a wide range of external agencies and support networks.  Our dedicated pastoral team are here to help our young people along every step of their journey with us.

Our school’s beautiful location also helps draw us closer to our local and global environment. We aim to instil a moral responsibility within all of our BHA community to protect our planet for future generations and we take pride in the way we use our setting to support pupils’ wellbeing and learning about the wider world.
